Just blogged this article. I love the fact that its cheap music in a new
distrobution format. Two things wrong. Can't select what song you want, and
you have to have wifi. But still worth the $3.

@yiah with iPhone apps apple get 30% and the programmers get 70%. So PUSA gets
$2 of every app sold. iTunes is apples distro center, ipod/iphone is just the
device, not a company.

its better to sell for 3$ the possibility of listening to 4 albums than never selling the 4 albums at all. and its not about the 4 cds its more like a band service

and itunes is not making the money, ipod/iphone does

All kidding aside, I'm interested to see how other artists try to engage new listeners in this economy. Most musicians want to get their music out there - if they can find a way to do it and keep the record companies marginally happy, everyone wins.

You know, except apple in this case.

Its interesting Apple would approve this as it could set an unwanted precedent as another outlet for music besides iTunes. Apple doesn't make the same money on $3 as they do from selling the entire discography on iTunes.
