example:some one approaches a retarded emo kid and says you buy a piece of S for 3000 or buy a super PC for half. so the emo kid says i like the preeetty one!!!!!!
Do any of those ads show what the Mac can do, instead of ripping the PC? If you iPhone fanboys got your butt hurt over this ad...GROW UP. Apple had anti-Microsoft ads for years... it's about time Steve BloJobs took something up the arse...he can take it, he got a new liver (from a Chinese prisoner no less)
hopefully the Droid will live up to the ad...the iPhone REALLY needs some stiff competition.
Buzz, good OR bad = GOOD AD
Marketing 101
release date is october 30th
Apple has been making these "competing" ads for years and everything thinks it's hilarious. Someone is finally creating something to compete with them and they make one commercial that simply brings out the weaknesses in the iPhone... Apple deserves every negative message they get sent their way.
And, I'm a PC.....

The revolution will not be brought to you by Apple
In 3G with reception interruptions.
The revolution will not show you pictures of Steve Jobs
blowing Randall Stephenson and leading a charge by trendy Emo kids and wanna-be techies
to brag about the $600 they spent at the Apple Store.
The revolution will not be televised."
DISCLAIMER: I'm not a religious iPhone user, I do like my phone, but more than that, I hate people trying to bring it down because they can't do better.
Overall, I feel the issue is that a many iPhone users (considering it is the majority of the smartphone market) basically do not understand the technical side of the device in their hands and the capabilities of other devices that rival it, which is a reason that advertisements like the MotoDroid can effectively spark interest in the iPhone users mind.
It does a good job of simulating multi-tasking in many cases but there are plenty of situations where it falls short too.
not.

And apple fans have no say for ads that make their precious little apple devices look like the pieces of CR@P they are when they do the same to windows which started the whole graphical OS thing so i think its about time someone stood up to apple the dirty playing basterds that need ads to make the competition look bad....
acussing microsoft of being a monopoly while trying to make your own is being a hypocrite.
Mac and Microsoft are both bar setters and ground breakers in the computing world. As far as the iPhone is concerned, it's obvious by it's sheer popularity that Apple did something right. Whether that was setting a new mark in smart phone technology or ingenious advertising, you can't ignore the impact of this great devise. Bring on the competition! That will make the fire burn hotter on both ends and take technology beyond our imagination. I can't wait to see how the Droid does even though I am partial to the iPhone. (yes call me a list of names, I deserve it)
iDon't run simultaneous apps. (Well, I don't care, push notifications is sufficient)
iDon't take 5-megapixels pictures. (iDon't take 5-megapixels pictures either)
iDon't customize. (iDont't care)
iDon't run widgets. (iDon't want disturbing widgets)
iDon't allow open development (iDon't prefer open development when there is a great app approval process somewhere else)
iDon't take pictures in the dark. (iDon't know, but actually iTook ;) a couple of good pictures in the dark & its looking good!)
iDon't have interchangeable batteries. (iDon't want a disassembled parts of my phone like the old nokia & win mobile days)
Everything iDon't (Everything iDon't want) :D
The iPhone Spotify would hugely benefit from being able to run alongside another app, like it does on Android (as would many other apps). Push notifications were a far overdue feature, though, and they are sufficient in like 80% of cases.
I'd also like a physical keyboard, as I prefer being able to feel the keys (not just with haptic feedback). But each to their own.
Yeah, both cameras are just fine, even in the dark.
Many people like customizing & widgets, although some people like a phone that Just Works(tm). So again, each to their own.
Many people prefer open development. And the "great app approval process" has been shown to be hugely flawed in the past month or so.
If you've owned an iPod/iPhone and used them very regularly for over a year, I needn't say anything more about batteries.
Aye, both phones have benefits, neither are perfect, but that's what drives competition right? I mean, it's the simultaneous app complaints that spawned the push notifications update, and cut/copy/paste, etc :)
Although my points were more from a personal use, and yeah don;t mention the battery, but what about it? I thought G1 will be better in this point, and you know or heard how it battery don't last if you used wifi, location and most of the services !
Im not a proffesional programmer but u gimme a year and 3000 buck and ill make something better than that piece of CRAP you people call the iShit
Excellent design, excellent execution.
cant wait to see some reviews on this though.. if it has some good reviews then may consider.

Also, does the droid also have a serial killer/psychopath application? What's with the Saw-like graphics at the very end? Creepy.
I prefer Android...and it's not even close.
I'm a Google fan...my life is tied into Gmail, Google Calendar, Picassa, etc...and Android ties into those services perfectly...not that you have to be a Google user to appreciate the Android phone...it's just extremely convenient for me.
The iPhone OS just doesn't stack up to the versatility and expandability of the Android OS.
The iPhone's hardware is what sells it. It's sharp and stylish. But the OS doesn't compare to Android.
If you want a pretty phone, maybe the iPhone is the phone for you. But if you want a phone that will actually do more than any other phone, then Android is a better buy.
And don't get me started on the cell phone plans. AT&T rapes you if you want an iPhone. The plans are too expensive. My G1 plan is $30/month less than an AT&T plan that doesn't even offer as much.
Just about every app that is available on the iPhone, is available on Android...and there are tons of apps on Android that you can't get on the iPhone.
It's funny how the iPhone commercials always list off a handful of cool apps you can use...and at the end of the commercial they say, "only, on the iPhone". Ummm....no, that's not true at all. Every app I've seen on the iPhone commercials, is available on Android. Apple has mastered the art of deception in their commercials...it's unreal how many people buy into their load of bunk...hook, line and sinker.
Verizon's 3G network blows AT&T's away. Having a kick ass android phone on their network will be huge. I'm a T-Mobile customer, and after my contract runs out, I'd consider switching to get on their network with an Android phone...that would rock.
And as far as the ad goes, I like it. Kinda edgy, kind of different...and it makes you think, "what was that about?" Which is the whole point of the ad.
features to sell there phones for $$$$. When they start to see market share lost they will add those features. Just like mms and gps, they had to have something to add to give people a reson to upgrade.... GO COMPETITION .... GO MOTOROLLA!!!
Let's say Motorola is able to make a good phone, a couple of months into it Apple will have a better phone than that and its the cycle that is technology.. My Problem with the situation is why would you try and emulate the interface of a phone your supposed to be better than, and that's with all these so called phones that were supposed to be "better" than the iPhone

How much? I saw nothing here about a price. That's something that needs to be looked at. The physical keyboard option is a good idea but are we gonna have to buy a "Droid" keyboard. Plus knowing Apple they will figure out a way for it's wireless keyboards to sync up with the iPod. Trust me, don't underestimate Apple's technology know-how.
For the record I don't like Apple at all...I'm a Linux guy. But they cover both ends with their technology hardware & software. I have to admit though I do use iTunes as my music organizer for my iPod (yes 9 sucks). Mainly b/c its easy to use & I've never had an issues with it.
All I'm trying to say is that don't count your blessings yet.
The best thing about this phone is that its backed by Verizon. Used to work for T-Mobile setting up cell sites & it was common knowledge that Verizon has invested heavily into it's network. An example is that all other cell phone providers mount 9 antennas in groups of 3 facing different directions. Look at a cell tower next time and count the antennas. Verizon mounts 12 in groups of 4. Plus the main BTS, the main computer at the base of the tower, are larger & are way more expensive & nicer.
Sorry for rambling but I hope someone at least learned something.
see the update: http://pinoytutorial.com/techtorial/will-motoro...
Oh one last thing, I thought this was about two phones and not the Mac vs. PC "computer" commercial?
http://green.cx
Go outside and talk to someone today instead of twittering.
but...
Verizon? i hate Verizon... how hard are these phones going to be to unlock and use on another network?
I know why Apple wants nothing to do with Google Voice.
Innovation is great, and Apple wins big prizes. Fencing out your competitors with restrictive marketing aggreements and plain out monopolization is a loser move, that will cost Apple its crown as the 'anti-company' very soon.
I like the clear "designed to be better than the iphone" message.

Awful graphics at the end as well. Next!
I want to start off by saying that the iPhone is an impressive device. I like it.
HOWEVER....
The Android operating system is just flat out better. Android has everything the iPhone OS does and then some.
Ripping on the TV ad is stupid and pointless if you ask me.
Apple should be a bit concerned about their market share shrinking a bit since now people can get the best phone available (Android) on the best network available (Verizon). And all reports point to Android being on the verge of exploding in popularity...it's just a matter of time.
Why would ANYONE buy an iPhone over a Droid phone (or any Android phone)? Seriously. You'd be choosing a lesser device on a lesser network if you went iPhone. The only reason people would choose an iPhone now, is because they think it's a status symbol of some kind or because their friend has one. What a mistake.
Do your research before you buy...don't be swayed by a stupid Droid or iPhone commercial.
i am always the support of iphone
