There is solution already. www.fring.com turns most modern mobile phones into skype phone. I am using it on my Nokia N97. Check it, your phone could be compatible! ;)

Maybe now Skype can actually offer PC-less skype phones that don't need to be constantly re-registered and find a fix for the "The call connects but neither party can hear each other" bug.

I find it incredibly stupid on ebay part for buying a company without buying the core IP rights that power this company. Fair play to Zennstrom and Friis for selling a company and getting 10% back for free.
