I'm off to check this out right now. Trying to keep up with all the new possibilities on the web are both overwhelming and exciting. I've been challenged recently to keep up with new services like this but also remembering to keep up with actually being a musician and songwriter, both aspects of being in a small band require a lot of time. Still, it's pretty cool how the playing field has been leveled for all the DIY bands or small business out there.

- Sean, we've had that mentioned to us by a couple of people but RockDex was built without ever seeing or knowing much beyond press releases about BandMetrics. We haven't heard of anyone getting into their beta since they announced it last September.
If you're looking for music events, you should check out http://www.playster.org - We currently index Upcoming, Last.fm and Meetup, and have a wealth of music events that you can search by keyword.
