I have been getting targeted traffic from Document Sharing Websites for quite some time. I have been testing out the new Doc Cash and it is going great so far. This is easy money. Since I already have a system in place, this is working out great.

Anybody with that can do this on a consistent basis can make good money with this system. There are tons of places to get document to upload.

I have never heard about docstoc before. It must be a small upload anddownload site.

interestnig to see what types of material are the most successful.

in this recession, i reckon it will be business planning and grant application type of docs.

Compensation models like this are doomed to failure for one reason: they require a change in behavior. The user has to do all this work and for what? A couple of pennies. Ugh.

You are probably right. But they say that they are using the Adsense API, I have not used or looked at the code of that API but am assuming that if they say that they must be doing something more than rotating ID's which doesn't even require an API.

The ads are ridiculous. I was looking at an 'Affiliate Marketing' guide and it gave me ads for soap and dating...

This makes no sense - they cant just "revenue share" with users - there is no way to actually do this with adsense. They must, instead, be rotating their Google Adsense Code with users who use this service. So technically - its 50% rotation of their pubID with the users pubID

Unless someone tells me different - there is no way to simply allow Google to process all payments etc - unless you are rotating publisher IDs

this is awesome - economics 101: people response to incentives. This will help push more relevant documentation for increased productivity and sharing. Plus the increase in documentation will meet the increase in information overload real time search will bring. By having the documents being posted to Twitter, this integration will allow people to have documentation feed to FriendFeed ( which supports Twitter feeds). This will help FriendFeed boost its potential user base given the diversity this content will provide in the feeds - I posted a tweet in the past as follows along these lines: Tweet May 13, 2009: #friendfeed pls feed #docstoc & #scribd - i'm sure they're hungry! ppl will wanna join da #friendfeed buffet :) - the service is grrrrreat!

Google is playing it smart by hedging the decrease in ad revenues with other alternatives such as Docstoc. It is a really great service especially when you can update an excel file on the internet from your Desktop with Docsync.

DocCash is going to give a tough fight to Scribd and Issuu. Its a pretty interesting way to reward users but then nothing can stop the other two to implement similar features.
