The site offers many of the tools mentioned here all rolled into one. Gift Cards, Gift Registries, Custom business URLs, e-cards, and the latest, redeem unused points (credit card, frequent flyer points...) for charity.

Great list. The variety is inspiring. Our contribution is the footprints network.
We have raised over $500,000 to fund nearly 40 projects ... all from $2 donations. What is different is that this is built for e-commerce companies to use with an open API so that their customers can get involved.

It's just another angle but one that works well: over 90% of customers tend to donate.

This list is great. A friend is creating some digital art that he wants
to auction/sell for charity (100%). Is there a way he can do that? Give people
a choice of charities when they buy the art (and ideally allow for the art
to be hosted as well)?

Great list! You can also check out Tonic Events; it lets you plan parties around charitable giving and/or create your own bike-a-thon event, etc.. Invite folks, track donations, etc.

I found this site, www.klenzd.com, where you can dump a burdensome load of guilt and give a few dollars to charity. I found it to be an entertaining way to learn and do some good at the same time. At least I know the "offering as they call it actually goes somewhere. They list the charities.

I just found out about advantages of www.giveforward.org
Unlike the other sites I've read about, giveforward.org lets you can create your own cause. Fantastic idea for family and friends, local and school fundraisers. The staff are really nice, quick to respond, and helped set up a fundraiser. You can easily see where you are at your goal and individually thank the donors.

Thanks for the shout out! At The Breast Cancer Site, we made our goal of 300 mammograms yesterday and an additional $20,000 will go to breast cancer research this month. BTW, this was just our December challenge. We funded more than 1,400 mammograms during October!

But don't stop clicking. There is no ceiling and our sponsors are more than willing to pay for more than 300 mammograms this month!
