It's an untapped market that I'd love to see some growth in.
Social technologies are the technology of the future, that's for sure..

Thanks.
There are solutions for bringing together these technologies, but its going to take mass adoption and a work-flow that even my mother can use in order for such solutions to work. When will someone successfully tie everything together. What medium will be used?
I would love to be considered for a free ticket to DEMO. You guys rock :)
On a side note, solar powered water heaters should tweet water temperature, level and usage. That would be sweet (and useful)!
EXPLANATION: We live in a time of great equalization. Anyone with the tools and the time can become almost anything they want to be. They need only the tools! Take Guitar Hero. I don't think there's ever been a musician who's played that game without thinking "Cute. Now when are they coming out with the real thing?" Video games are great, but they don't give the average user enough credit. A lot of talent is born of ambition, but it can't be given a voice without opportunity. In this case, that opportunity comes in the form of a tool. Not only a guitar, but a great teacher. A master. Through tools like this, we have the opportunity to teach anyone and everyone, anything and everything! And I'm not just talking about music here. All the arts:
Dance: I believe we can move beyond the "Dance Dance" touchpad
Visual Art: Let's move past the mouse - even the Wacom
Drama: Let's interact with out entertainment using our bodies - our emotions.
Literature: Ever ask for another set of eyes? How about millions?
Etc: Sky's the limit...
Technologies like Apple TV are a step in the right direction, but the consumer space needs not only hardware but content that is easy to obtain and affordable to rent or purchase. The Ruku Netflix streamer and media extenders have made inroads with the "earlyvangelists", but no one has yet crossed the chasm with a product that appeals to the mainstream.
With consumers spending even more time at home in this current economic climate, the timing is perfect to launch the "killer app" for the living room.
Of course, if I receive a free ticket, I will gladly wear the "I <3 Mashable" t-shirt. But no animal costumes. I mean, I would really love to go, and my student loans prevent me from paying my own way. But even I have to draw the line somewhere.
When mobile devices truly become like my executive assistant I'd pay top dollar and never have it leave my side.
I want to see what microblogging can be with these innovations in place, because that is our future and I don't want to have to wait until my kids tell me about in the nursing home.
Let's drop the hype and mass adoption of mediocre technologies and focus on what matters, what we need, and how we are going to start delivering that now.
Bottom Line: we have the base knowledge and technologies available, now we just need to make them work in the proper setting.
It is quite simple--and I think only one person vaguely mentioned it. I would like to see more Augmented Reality based Technology- mobile, home appliances, and Public Safety embedded with AR.
It looks like AR is slowly creeping into iPhone apps, but hasn't reached mainstream and definitely hasn't reached full potential. I can see Augmented Reality being a MAJOR player in all markets- changing the way we think and use computer peripherals.
Anything that is a TRUE game changer ( and I mean a real game changer) is something we should find innovative and would want to see more of.
A big fan,
Taylor Barr
