Hey this is cool, they show images right in the client for Tweets. Search for the word twitpic for an example, you see the photo without having to click the link. Neat.

This thing also grabs hidden spam comments in their search results. They need to find a way to deal with that.

Question:

Does collecta have a pre-determined system for organizing search results? It seems as though the tweets are grouped separately from the wordpress results etc. I apologize if this is a silly question but I don't have much experience with real-time search engines and certainly not with collecta.

I have a sneaking suspicion that once Google figures out a way (or may already have) and launches their version; it will be a monopoly. They will include it in their homepage and draw millions from their billions of reegular searches.

I think Twitter needs to go ahead and position themselves as the king of real-time. They have all the resources that the other companies want to buy out. I see them heading in that direction; but they need to do something before the year is out to make things official.
