I'd be the same way if I received a pop fly like that one in the World Series.

Not me. If I did ANYTHING in the World Series, I'd pray for enough composure to keep from soiling myself.

Yeah. I guess to be so lax in a game with Millions of Eyes and many childhood dreams riding on the outcome of each game would be harder that it looks.

the behind the back catch was just as sweet

lol that was pretty funny! I guess it's no big deal to him. :D

Maybe that's the way you look and act when "you've been there." It's all in a day's work.

They should post the around the back catch too. That was pretty amazing, even for this Yankees fan, I appreciated the guys performance last night. I figure the Steinbrenners are right now figuring out a way to get Lee on the Yankees next year. :)

When interviewed after the game, several reporters asked Cliff if he was nervous. He said, "why should I be nervous? I've been preparing for this moment since I was a kid. I got to where I want to be, so now it's just a matter of doing it".

    Phillies in 5 baby!

What should have Cliff have done. Caught it with 2 hands and made beleive that catching
a basball is so hard to do. Maybe if you put Cliff in the outfield he could run and catch a
routine fly ball 7 or 8 running steps from the wall and then crash into the fence and fall down like so many of the big Super Stars do now a days. And then they even pretend to be hurt. Basball players are the biggest cry babies in all of sports. Cliff just caught it like it was. . A small easy pop up. My 9 year old daughter could have caught it. I thought the
annoncers were going to pee their pants! Get that Joe Buck off the air. Every comment out of his mouth is in the form of a question to make sure he's not stepping on the other guy's toes. I'm not sure if I would have been bunting in that situation? What do you think Mr. Former baseball player? You don't have to be a former baseball player to "KNOW" the game. I know more about the game and how to play it than 70% of major leaguers. Best way to watch baseball. With NO VOLUME. You guys are terrible!!!! Oh by the way. The behind the back catch was just luck. Like being in the right place at the right time. Get IT.
AND REMEMBER THIS THE NEXT TIME YOUR DRULING OVER THESE GROWM MEN PLAYING A KIDS GAME. There are 100's if not 1000's of baseball players in the United States who are not playing major league baseball only because hey were not in the right place at the right time. Baseball is not that hard to play. People just enjoy watching it. Supply and Demand.
MONEY MONEY MONEY. As long as people pay it'll continue to never change.

I'll put my knowledge up against any broadcaster in America. Wanna test me? I dare ya!

For one thing, this post has a shelf life of about 36 hours before MLB Advanced Media comes marching toward Youtube to take this down.

Funny video though. But what annoys me is that your friend is more interested in baseball after this? Makes absolutely no sense. Hilarity, understood, but if this guy is going to watch baseball for three hours, not understanding anything about the game, the teams or players involved, then he needs to wait until next season.

He has no understanding of the game to enjoy it if this is what gets him into the game. That is like getting into Mashable because someone commented on how white the background is.

Sorry, I am a die-hard sports fan, and no new fan should be interested in sports after this play. It was funny, but had almost nothing to do with how the game is played.

I'm pretty sure my friend was kidding ...

Two things: You have about 36 hours until MLB Advanced Media comes marching to Youtube and takes this down.

Very hilarious video, but if you're friend is going to be interested in baseball after this, tell him he isn't going to like it. These plays happen once in so many years that he will expect stuff to happen that won't.

If he became interested after a game-tying homerun, or a big play at the play, that is understood. But if he is interested after this play, he probably should not be watching baseball. Advice from a die-hard sports fan.

The yankees hit the ball so soft, its hard to show excitement catching it. Nice six strikeouts overpayed spoiled child, Aroid
