That seems like a really useless feature, having to get users to install a firefox addon just to use the links... how is that good advertising for people with links on their pages?

I believe this to be a radical way to add clickable links... Since it's free I am going to do it simply because there is no other way to add links on there. The best way would of course be for twitter to provide some conditional html control over the background but then they open themselves up to become the next myspace with active-x creatures roaming about :)

I am for one glad that this company saw a need, though outside of the box, and delivered a product to help....

Some people would complain, if they were hung with a new rope. Not sure most people use IE at home. Their lock is in corporate IT. At home, for me, it has been Firefox for years. Also flirted with Chrome but no form filler, no John.

My concern with this, is I tried to install a lot of times and not making progress.

Hmmm....I see the problems with this, mainly getting others to download the add-on to be able to click your links. Well, while you're at it adding links to your profile, why not throw a link on there for folks to get the add-on? The more it is spread, the more it will be used. Now that it is free, I don't see what it would hurt to try it?

Did you read my comment?, I said "...if it ALREADY...", as in no installation of anything is required.

So, a better alternative is an add on that can recognize links in ALL images, like android's bar code scan.

Didn't you even read the post or at least the comment right above you, it does work on all browsers.

This sounds pretty cool. I don't mind adding a plugin, I've already got a couple for other features that make Twitter more functional. Like the Bitly Preview plugin that shows the cloaked link and click stats and Power Twitter adds a half a dozen or so extras to Twitter.

The best thing I can think of to get around the add on requirement is to get the word out. The more people using this themselves means more that will be set up to click on your page. I'll definitely tweet about it a few times. B)>

If the creator wasn't so peer pressured from the comments, I'm sure this would have gone through with success. It's almost as if you compare it to the Apple iPhone and its applications, not all the applications are FREE.
