Adam, I disagree with you about celebrity tweets being rendered useless if Twitter implemented groups (which, to be realistic, ain't happening any time soon, I'd think).
People would still need to build their celebrities-on- twitter list, which would be a huge pain in the ass for most.
Now, if Twitter created groups and *then* said, "hey, here's a pre-packaged group of celebs if you want to sign on to that," then I guess this site wouldn't make as much sense.

That's a fair point Eric ... who knows though, maybe Twitter *will* add something like that, ala MySpace Music, Facebook Pages, etc. They did just hire a business guy after all ;-)

This is reality that most famous personalities ara using Twitter for their socila network.Like Briteny Spears.Even Obama has changed US with this type of Tools.I had joined Obama in October 2008.I seen millions of fans following to Obama on Twitter. After Obamas's use of social media like Twitter and facebook mostly celebrities are following this trend. But lot of Twitter users never follow the TOS like me. But who care....

I'm tellin ya. there is always a leading edge generalist then the niche specialists alllllways overshadow the big guy. Think ford... then suv minivan flex sportscar luxury car etc... Every industry will have its own twitter like modelmayhem is to facebook.

Shameless plug: We launched TweepRoll.com earlier this month with a similar mission: to list all the famous people on Twitter. It's different from CelebrityTweet in that we categorize the celebs. So if you're looking only for athletes or musicians, they are easy to find.
