How does Twitter Lists differ from Twellow? I thought Twellow was supposed to boost me but so far I'm yawning....will I keep yawning if I engage Twitter Lists? I mean, there are all these excess apps....but how does "lists" popularize you?

No, Twitter already HAS favourites. Individual tweets you "favourites" by clicking the yellow star show up on the twitter.com/username/favour... url, which is the same url "favourites" list would use. I'd guess that's why.

I got that message to the lists and I started making the lists and when a came back to keep working on them they were not there anymore, I don't know what happened. weird..

I'm kinda confused (nothing new). I saw the box on my twitter page yesterday but didn't have time to do anything with it. Not it's not there and I see no "List" links anywhere. :(

I could tell you if I have it, but then I'd have to kill you, obviously. How small is this small group anyway? Given the size of twitter and the number of people I know who have it, it can't actually be that small or secret surely! Isn't saying 'don't tell' exactly the way to spread the hype and thus snowball their PR?...

I have this, came across it this morning and tweeted before I saw the "shhh" comment on the homepage.

I have a worry about this- what if someone adds me to a list that I am not happy about- who wants to be on a list of "Annoying people" (or worse).

They are requesting feedback on this currently so after I've had time for a proper play with the feature I'll be sending this concern in to twitter

I just logged on to Twitter via the web today rather than Tweetie 2 on my iPhone which is my preferred means of tweeting, to find that the Twitter lists (beta) is live for me, courtesy of the banner atop my timeline! I must say I think this is going to be huge for Twitter and it's user base as it promises be such a useful feature.

However, I think that there definitely needs to be a few tweaks! Firstly I think that there needs to be a dedicated search place specifically to search for Twitter lists that I, as an individual, may be interested in. At the moment the only means of finding a Twitter list is through visiting a twitterer's profile page! From there you can then choose to follow one of their Twitter lists or even a Twitter list that they may be following. This needs to change to make it easier to discover Twitter lists of interest for particular users. This may be achieved through allowing the tagging of Twitter lists (maybe keeping the 140 character limit for tags also) and having a dedicated search space which will serve the purpose of returning Twitter lists specific to the tags. This will make the Twitter lists feature much more powerful and effective as it would be easier to find what you're looking for.

Furthermore, it should be easier to combine Twitter lists i.e. I'm an Arsenal FC fan and I want to create my own Twitter list of Arsenal fans and I am already following a Twitter list of 100 strong Arsenal fans, I should be able to add all the members of that list to a new Twitter list seamlessly with the click of a button and add 50 more users to follow in that list to make a larger list, quicker.

Oh and sorry Twitter for talking about this, but I'm too excited to just keep my mouth shut!

I got Lists on my Twitter account too and I love the feature! I do wonder how they picked the people who got Lists already. And I may or may not have broken the no tweeting rule as well. Oops.
