Coming. Soon! Facebook is on it's way out.... There is a new site on the way that promises to actually let users create, share, search , and manage everything... I heard they will be going BETA LIVE sometime in October 2009.... Facebook is cool if you like quizzes.. but for us adults I need a real STRONG, SAFE online application that lets me live my life how I want... I did private testing for this site a couple months back.... WAY better and Way more streamlined then anything out right now... Change is coming....

If you like the full Facebook functionality then you don't want Facebook Lite.
If you find the FB applications (quizzes, virtual gifts, games) annoying/uninteresting/childish/a threat to your privacy then the Lite version is interesting. It strips down FB to a simple tool for keeping in touch with friends.
I welcome FB Lite and will use it as soon as it becomes available in my country.

I don't understand Facebook wanting Twitter territory so bad. I use them both for different reasons. I can't filter my feed in FB lite and if it gets @mentions we are right back to twitter. I guess you get a little more rich media, but you don't get text message updates out of the box either. I am not impressed.

I'm in Ireland and I can access the login screen, but once I input my details, and I'm starting to get excited, I'm redirected to my old Home.
It's a pity, as I would love to have tried it. Personally, I don't see the point of it.
No doubt this is the reason that Facebook was acting so slow, buggy and not working over the past week? Eg. They were fiddling under the bonnet with this?

personally they should have a link (if they have not - not having it live i will not know if it implemented) to go to the Facebook (Full) version much like iphone.facebook.com and m.facebook.com that gives the option (and vica-versa).

the Lite version doesn't have a chat feature which makes it suck already. Also, the notifications in the regular Facebook are much better. That little Red icon in my lower right screen corner makes notifications so easy to monitor. Facebook lite gets 3 stars from me right now . . . out of 10.

FB is much more better than twitter. we can use so many words on FB rathen than twitter. also FB looks good, we can make a comment on our friend and get feedback fast & send something cute through FB. I love FB so much... I started 2 open lite.facebook.com It's not good I think, so many empty places, can delete inbox, wasting space... I hope lite.facebook can looks much more better than FB, and much more easy than FB. because it's very difficult to open FB right now..
