Now I'll need to disinfect my keyboard and my eyes after what I read!
Seems one can be the biggest geek in the world but in the end being old dominates over all other attributes that one has. Bill Gates would have kept his fb profile and responded to all the requests if he was 20 years younger, I think.
And why doesn't he just start a fan page?
I totally agree. As we edge closer and closer to an entirely technology-based society we must also bare in mind that these technologies have been put in place to help maintain and improve our lives not become our lives.
Facebook for some can be a great way to communicate between close friends and family for a purpose, however social networking has become more of a cultural extension which allows us to extend or create our own digital identity.
When you have the lifestyle Bill Gates has and the type of job, spending your time on Facebook would hardly enter your mind. I don't even think Bill Gates uses the Internet in the way we all do and why would he want to.
funny post in the same style of this Bill Gates blog post... of the TOP FIVE TV CHARACTERS I'D LIKE TO DEFRIEND ON FACEBOOK
at: http://tvtango.com/news/detail/id/39
I've tried to get rid of my Facebook account too, but reactivated it because it is so darn addictive. He'll be back.
"10,000 people wanting to be my friend"
and that he’s “not that big at text messaging”, another HUMONGOUS worldwide trend that’s gaining market share rapidly. I don't think it's the tools you're not fans of, but rather your fear of the huge market share these two technologies are getting. Clouds Bill. Look up to the clouds!
Also, thanks Pete. I love your blog and the mock up! LOL

Gates should either accept ALL friend requests or NONE, and then add the people he wants. Can't be so big of an issue that he has to stop using it completely. It's hillarious that he would say Facebook's no good, when Microsoft owns such a large share!
I took your advice and sleep on piles of money now. My back feels so much better.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
St. Peter: Another $18 billion to charity and we`ll think about letting you in.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha lol
You can always set your profile not to be visible in search or simply tighten your privacy by not allowing anyone to add you as a friend, so only you can send friend requests.
Lame.
