We're still brand-new and still developing a lot of new features. We hope everyone enjoys the site and continues to come up with new ways to use Twitter!

My favourite suggestions are #wtfwednesday and #sportsaturday. Could catch on!

Great overview, Brian, thanks for that!
#tweepletuesday, @SarahRobinson is the chief holligan for this hashtag.
It is used to introduce one tweep to another. Great way to make a new friend on twitter.
Here's my tweet that launched #FunFriday:
@AAinslie Recession 'boosts Y-front sales' providing "greater sense of security" ;) http://bit.ly/ag0eJ - #FunFriday [via @BBC]

If you like the concept, then please ReTweet #FunFriday and help birth a movement to get people to end their week on a lighter note so that they may spend better quality time with their families.
If anyone cares to follow me you are welcome to do so @AAinslie
I tweet about #Markets #OSS #FOSS #OpenSource #OnlineGaming #OnlineGiving #Gambling #Tech #Causes #QRCodes #Paris #Andorra #Milwaukee & other bits!
#FunFriday everyone!
@AAinslie
Also (and I keep saying this), hashtags are a dead end. Author-generated metadata is inherently untrustworthy. Any system dependent on self-tagging will eventually collapse from abuse and namespace collisions. That's why nobody trusts keywords in the HTML "meta" element anymore. Anybody treating hastags as the long-term solution to a problem is a fool.
I agree that #followfriday is enough, but I've also seen:
#tweepletuesday and #womentofollow (Wednesdays) and even #supersunday
We tweet the book(s) we 're currently reading (with a small comment). Feel free to join #booktuesday
You missed the popular #Women2Follow on Wednesday's on Twitter which is the day to recommend great women in your twitter community to follow and connect with. It was started at the end of February and has made the top trends.
And we usually have a #unfollowmonday for those you regret you followed. VERY USEFULL!
And we should star a #sundayhomer to spread all the crazy funny things Homer Simpson says to make everyone's sundayfun. The @iamhomersimpson guy is hilarious
The #trakz hash-tag is my invention, but it is inspired and derived from the spreadsheet wholly developed, originated, and dreamed-up by @gcn1. (I had nothing at all to do with the spread-sheet except for requesting a couple of additions to the musicians on it.)
This table from @gcn1 has EVERYTHING! It's not a "celebrities-to-ogle-on-twitter-list" like some amateur irrelevant listings. Instead, this spreadsheet is literally a producer's wet-dream...
There's a whole public forum thread on it on the Nine Inch Nails forums here:
http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?30,628194,636045
Please send a message to @gcn1 directly if you have any suggestions for additions, since if you post suggestions for musicians to add to the thread itself the suggestions won't be received. (The thread is about the spreadsheet itself.)
The thread about @gcn1's list of musicians you can find for #MusicMonday is on the thread "Everything Musical On Twitter" under the "Music" section of the public site forum.nin.com . There, hope that helps.
#followfriday, original and great, even if it can be problematic.
But the rest are just poor, if you want to recommend someone do it, you don't need to add a hashtag and a day!!!
And here is the big thing. You can't create this type of tag links with a rolling post in Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace or anywhere else. I personally think this is the type of thing that separates Twitter from all the rest. You just have to pick the ones you like. I like #musicmonday. That's great. I have just created one of my own #betterworld where people can Tweet about ways to make our world better. We can change the world one Tweet at a time. Can't do that on any other social media.
This isn't about just recommending a person, a song or a common idea. Yes, you can do that now. This is about being able to easily search for everyone who is also Tweeting on the same subject. That is what makes this so powerful and unique in social networking.

Real estate is a legal term (in some jurisdictions, notably in the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia) that encompasses land along with anything permanently affixed to the land, such as buildings, specifically property that is fixed in location. Real estate law is the body of regulations and legal codes which pertain to such matters under a particular jurisdiction. Real estate is often considered synonymous with real property

Made me think perhaps I should start #MoreThanProfitMonday for social enterprises/ ethical business etc. Or perhaps #ForBenefitFriday. That is shorter at least.
Or #SocEntSat but I don't think the weekend ones work as well - most people are still online 9-5, Mon-Fri, i.e. at work.
What do you think?
#charitytuesday - those wonderful tweeps fighting for everything else!
Don't forget these two, both very important!

Also #booktuesday has recently started for book recommendations.
@Sonypictures and @yahoomovies have participated, as well as official Twitter accounts from Julie & Julia, Year One, and D9.
Still trying to get more people to do it... Help us out?? :-)
