Probably the Best and innovative Amazon pages I have seen are :

The second page is truly great because it is the first to categorize the % discount by brand.

HA! No, you're right of course, if used the wrong way this totally does that -- but if you genuinely see something cool and want to tweet about it, it's not a bad way to go about doing it.

How else would you view a no context status update that reads: Great Deal on 'Monsters Inc. (4 Disc Edition) [Blu-Ray]' by Billy Crystal and John Goodman...with an affiliate link back to the product ???

If you're deliberately trying to earn money with your Amazon account through Twitter, that by its very nature is spammy.

Being a thought leader is so time consuming that blasting affiliate links to your twitter sheep manually can really bog a spammer down. This is sure to save that valuable second or two, and over time should really increase the amount of "content" we're all able to "share" with one another. I'm just glad there's a news source to keep us up to date on stuff like this - in real time.

I have an Amazon Associates account and I really like this idea and function. I sometimes talk about books, movies, gadgets or music on my Twitter, and having my Associates account 'tweetable' will help me earn a bit more 'fun' money. I just hope that Twiter doesn't read these posts as spam.
