Mashable - The Social Media Guide: A Little Birdy Shares Video of Twitterrific 2.0

  • Justyn · 7 months ago
Feature-wise seems to be about the same as tweetie? Anything I'm missing?
  • Sahil Desai · 7 months ago
haha its wayy ahead of tweetie. extras include:

    - marks
    - easier access to filters
    - view conversations on one screen (u hav to click thru conversations backwards in tweetie atm)

and more i'm sure. I'm a huge Tweetie supporter but this is great that there's now a solid competitor.

I hope that somebody somewhere soon realizes that the Blackberry market is being woefully undeserved in the area of app dev and capitalizes on it! Nice read though!

Word! Neither Twitterberry nor TinyTwitter make the cut.
  • Jennifer Van Grove · 7 months ago
That's a shame...I do have a few friends with blackberrys and they definitely feel left out of the Twitter app cool circle. I'm sure there's a few developers reading this that can make this happen, right?

Have you guys tried ubertwitter? by far the best blackberry twitter app...
  • Dave Zatz · 7 months ago
Twitterberry, SocialScope, and TweetGenius. Is that enough?
  • SocialSoundSystem · 7 months ago
Yeah... I'm a die-hard Tweetie fan. I'm running 12 Twitter accounts from my phone.

    To name a few...

Twitter has become an overnight phenomenon. I was wondering does anyone know who the company is that started twitter and how did they get so big so quick.
  • nezua · 7 months ago
Hardly "overnight." I've had @nezua since Dec, 2006 and it was catching on then, I'm pretty sure.
  • Justyn · 7 months ago
Founded by Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey - who were involved with other startups (including Blogger). While it didn't grow overnight (been around since 2006), it definitely came on to the scene in a big way the last 3-4 months.

It's about time! Honestly, that used to be my favorite Twitter app. But they were left in the dust a while ago. All they had going for them, after that point, was a cute bird icon. And a nice (dark) theme. I finally had to switch to Twittelator Pro, which is very sweet, in truth.

    And What happens with Blackberry?
  • Mandy · 7 months ago
Ehh.. Twitterific is ok but Twittelator Pro is waaaaaaayy better for iPhone users! I twitter all day long it is very addicting!!

I think you're missing the point, though. The new Twitterrific is so much better than the current edition, which I agree is not that great.
  • adamjackson · 7 months ago
Wish people would shutup and listen.

Do I have to pay to upgrade?

The Twitterrific Premium UI was always clean & beautiful, probably the most beautiful of them all. Its features were always lacking. With the release of 2.0, we will have both, the beauty and the features. The others? Twittelator Pro will always be my heart's jewel. Tweetie is clean. I love the competition, we win. On a side note, people still use Blackberry?
