Talk of coincidences...I was just about to update my gmail signature, and this blog post is a godsend!
Are there similar signature enhancers for Outlook?

Wise Stamp will be releasing a version for Outlook soon. I'm eagerly awaiting it. The program works well with web-based email systems for now.

Wise Stamp is the way to go. The only thing I don't like about it their quick promotional plug at the bottom. I usually just delete it.

I use that last feature to include my sig before the quoted text on replies. For lengthy discussions, it's a no-brainer.

Really wish stuff like this was available for Chrome...

I really like Blank Canvas. I've set us up with it at work using our Google Apps Premier account. It's a little buggy in that signatures occasionally don't show up. . . but we work around that for the ability to actually have nice looking HTML signatures in our business emails.

I'm glad there's a solution. I would really love for Google to build HTML signature support into gmail, nativeliy.

    Blank canvas, not black canvas

With replyforall, you donate your signature to a good cause - for example clean water: http://www.replyforall.com

Some of this stuff, especially those features from Wisestamp and Black Canvas, should really be built in with Labs.

I've played with these stylised signatures before but found that my emails started getting caught by spam filters. I only knew because they were emails I was sending to friends!! I wonder if anyone else has experienced this? And does using the Gmail Blank Canvas improve delivery?

Wisestamp is a very cool gmail sig. awesome but doesn't work with Firefox 3.5.2. Hope they get an update - I like it. Also hope they get an outlook one soon too.

You totally forgot ASCII. Go old school.

Wisestamp seems to be a great solution. Thanx a lot!

Thanks. Great timing, I was just thinking about this today, sitting at my desk wondering if there was a way spice up my signature.

Hey, how did you know what I was thinking?

Good list, though it's unfortunate that Google's browser, Chrome, is left out in the cold for a few of these.

It appears that "Signature Tweaks" disables "Random Signature." So I'm sticking with RS.

My favorite of these tips is WiseStamp -- a super easy way to pimp any place you leave a signature :-) Great list!

    Wisestamp.

Why oh why has it taken so long for this kind of functionality to make it to gmail?

It's great - really great - so very very good (I know.. I'm gushing) and when combined with Signature tweaks - my "stuff" is always in the right place - right in front of people's noses.

    Or under their mouse.

    Whatever.

Thanks so much for the post.

also the help group for the Random Quotes one seems to have been disabled ("archived")

have you had this working or is it possible it's no longer available? :-(

A similar article seen here nearly a month ago : http://www.gtricks.com/gmail-tricks/how-to-add-...

I like wise stamp, but I'm using chrome more for google stuff these days, I'd like them to issue a chrome edition (guess they have to wait for the plugin architecture)

The location in signature Gmail feature is pretty hilarious. A few days ago, while working from my Cambridge Ontario apartment, I noticed it said I was emailing from Etobicoke, Ontario.

    Yeeeah.
