Wow! I'm truly surprise how many artists value so little about their work, ideas, creativity and time. Every piece of art that you create not only has a price attach to it and your name too. Most stock photography and layout templates are destroying the art and design industry. What happens when people charge less and less for design? eventually it'll be free. Most stock photography and stock layout templates are making people value design less and less. Did you know any famous artist start out selling stock photos? Did you know anyone become a millionaire or billionaire selling stock designs? Do you really think every copy of your design worth just a little bit more than a black and white Xerox copy? would you rather sell a design at a premium price or selling a thousand copies at 25 cents a piece? Hey there, nice article! I thought I'd mention that Artfire.com is a another great place to sell your designs online, and you can even do so for free! Here's some basic information on the site:

Hi nobodypanic, first of all I would like to introduce myself, I'm Nicholas Wieland, CTO of Zooppa.
I would like to say that I'm sorry for what happened, we definitely hired the wrong person to grow our community, he has been fired one month ago because of this mess on craigslist.
As a developer I feel ashamed and I can guarantee that it won't happen anymore.

Zooppa found me on craigslist and I appreciated the time they took to review my portfolio and recruit me to their site, which I love. A lot of people think they want work on spec but all these sites want work on "spec", but really it's a competition so everyone carries the same risk. It's not about the cash it's about the community and feedback and building your portfolio and so forth. I love Zooppa so don't hate.
