2009 is going to be a much bigger year for us (2008 was pretty good to us though). Big stuff coming very soon.
Thanks again.
They are also one of only three online art communities to have been involved with a major contemporary art fair and they just wrapped up a free to enter competition for art students involving $16,000 in cash scholarships. Not to mention that they have jurors from the Tate Modern, Whitney Museum of Art and other very respected institutions.
Not sure why they have slipped under the radar of Mashable, but it is a shame. As a niche social networking community they are great. Plus they don't limit how many images, video, or music you can upload. All of that stuff can be placed in galleries and you can create as many as you want. I like the fact that you can embed the flash galleries on other sites like Myspace and I think it works on Facebook as well.
I love http://ratemydrawings.com/ - not sure how new it is but the way you can replay the sketching of artists work is great, and how the work is created is breathtaking.

UEatCheap - what a great (and rather timely) concept! I like it. Although their search on the front page does *not* work at the mo., which is frustrating, and I don't think they have many restaurants yet. Where The Locals Eat is very good. I found a number of good-looking restaurants in Berkeley (where I lived while in college) that I had never noticed before! As someone who travels quite a bit and loves food, I think I'll find this very useful - especially if they expand outside the U.S.
Yes, I'm a job seeker and a foodie. Can you tell? ;)

Kindleist.com is a good one too
RadioTime.com is also overlooked. You can search, save, and discover radio near you and on the other side of the world from you.
Also, I would argue that if a great site were truly underrated, it probably wouldn't make this list, since it seems that every site on the list has already been written up in Mashable (twice, if you include the original article & then again getting listed). IMO if Mashable writes favorably about you, that's a good amount more attention than many (deserving or no) sites get.
keep it up with your site, plus check out my page, do you want to make money, check out my clickclickclick page or my do you want to be rich page, want anything for the psp ps3 wii or 360, check out that page, like world of warcraft and want somne tips and secrets, check out the page, if you are looking for any movies, shows, or music videos, come to my site, because trust me, its there, plus enjoy the poetry (book publishers check it out) email me
You can discuss tv shows and other topics in real time. Much better than any message board or chat room.
Check it out!
