This one still pings all the big aggregators but the difference between it and the ones you've listed is that PingNinja will go through and finish pinging the list 10x faster than any other site i've seen. It's 100% free, there aren't even ads up there while i still tweak out the design a little bit (it will always be 100% free though, i promise).

Check it out and see if you notice the speed difference. :)
-jeff

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

This is an excellent list! I have been using Pingoat and Ping-o-matic, but recently Ping That Blog! seems to hang and not complete its pinging so I have been looking for alternatives.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Can using all of these cause you to be banned by the search engines though?

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Nice work.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

And what about PingThatBlog! ? I use it daily, I think this service also worth mentioning here, as it has some features that others hasn't got. just search google for PingThatBlog or visit pingthatblog.com

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Hi,

This action proves to be a win, win situation. Thanks for sharing this. I'm using Ping My Blog now and I know it gonna help more than the original Ping service. PingMyBlog’s list is very comprehensive.

Of course these are not as popular as Pingoat and Pingomatic.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Thanks for this.
I have had problems with pingomatic and was struggling to find an upto date list of ping services, which I have been through and decided to give autopinger a try.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

wow that is neat compilation of the good ones

http://vidsonly.blogspot.com

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Palin, any discoveries yet with your experimentation? I've been reading all different schools of thought on this recently. I'd be curious to see what you had to say.

Also, does anyone have a preference over any of the above options?

- Adam Hirsch, Mashable.com

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Yep, we use Wordpress for our company blog and also my own. Two installations, two version variants, two different servers. I took the list of pingers from Wordpress (looks like its about 40-50) and the blogs would hang up after every post or edit attempting to ping them all. I trimmed down the list to the top 6-8 and now it doesn't hang.

So, external services are good.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Thanks Kevin for the Wordpress tipoff. Would be good to hear if others experience the same.

Personally I like experimenting with new pingers, as if to see any difference in how fast my blog get indexed by search engines, if at all, when pinged from one pinger to another.

Re: 20+ Online Multiple-Services Blog Pingers

Great list. I've noticed if you start adding more than 10 or so ping service URLs in Wordpress it starts getting real sluggish on posting.

I used Autopinger and it seemed to be fairly quick and thorough in pinging.
