I saw default.aspx and thought it actually shows a random profile for that url. I refreshed three times only to find that someone had registered that name.
I wonder if those people know that they can't change their name once they have chosen it.
The "Cat ran over my keyboard" one is the weirdest. I bet that person cannot type the url again without seeing it or storing it somewhere.

First think I tried getting was facebook.com/coolestguyonfacebook but they dont allow it lol. I had to go with facebook.com/coolestguyontheinternet
They're not "vanity urls" please, they're personalized urls. Just because it's words and names instead of a bunch of numbers does not make you vain for having an url! Let's get rid of "vanity" url and call it "name-url" or "personalized url"

If you didn't get a vanity url because it was taken, grab one at http://www.personal-domains.tel and use a .tel domain instead. Tel centralizes all your social identities, emails, phones, websites into one simple package branded by your name.
