I like BargainBin it has Push and lets you know when your favorite app goes on sale for a certain price that you set. It's super sweet and I've got some good deals by just waiting for the opportune time. Also eBuddy and AIM are good chat clients that have Push as well.

Eliott, thanks for the great list of applications with Push.
Our application for task management and collaboration Task2Gather for iPhone now also has push notifications for new tasks and for new comments. This is one of the best collaborative tool available at AppStore. It would be great if you share your opinion about it.

How about this: FIRST, I want an already-popular mainstream social networking app like Twitter or Facebook to incorporate location-based social networking (like WhosHere, BrightKite, etc.) and THEN I want it to be push-compatible. For instance, you search for people who match all your criteria (age, photo, gender, interests, etc.) within a specified geographic radius (5 miles, 5 blocks, 500 feet, your own building, etc.). A healthy variety pops up in search results (again, assuming it is part of an already-ubiquitous social networking app like Facebook and not as location-based apps are now, limited to obscure apps that are sparsely populated or not widely known of). Anyone with that app on their computer or mobile device (who doesn't have Facebook or Twitter) would be immediately notified via push that you are interested in contacting them, even if their device is in another app or even in their pocket. If they are able and willing (interested in your profile) they respond.

Imagine discovering the person of your dreams was in your apartment complex all along, or meeting your new best-friend in the building you both work in, or a someone to talk to during long waits at an airport. It would even makes it possible to search for someone at a public venue when traveling or out & about, without physically searching and approaching them first in person, avoiding the awkwardness of encountering a face-to-face cold shoulder if they're not interested or do not wish to be bothered. This would take social networking to a whole new, completely real-life & in-person interactive level! I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be able to use this in some way in their lives.

My wife uses Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional version 10 on Windows XP Pro with Microsoft Office 2007. She has also got an iPhone 3Gs.

She is looking for a "to-do list" utility that she can fill in with Dragon on the PC and then export to the phone. Apparently Outlook tasks can't be exported to the iPhone so she's looking for something with similar features. She has tried a few popular utilities (Remember the Milk; Listingly; Toodledo), but none of them are supported by Dragon, in other words she can't use Dragon to input into the fields - particularly text boxes - she needs.

Are you aware of anything that would fit the bill?

ESPN has the sports alerts with push notification; it looks like it works across all the sports just like your My ESPN updates. This could save a lot of people their SMS fees.

That's exactly what push is. You can use the app by itself, but it's still going to sync to Tootdledo's server. When due dates come, they get pushed to your phone.

I'm not sure Toodledo is quite as "push" as you say. The reminder looks like it originates from their server and is sent to the phone. No good if you are using the app in standalone mode. Happy to be wrong as I'm still looking for a godo to-do manager (ie hoping Google gets to it first).

Maybe Albert Pujols hit that Grand Slam, but you can assume he did when SPORTS TAP pushes a notification that the St Louis Cardinals are up 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th.

Sports Tap pushes pushes it to the top of the Sports App list. Worked perfectly with today's matinee with the Blue Jays 8-7 victory over the Yankees.

Sports Tap now has push alerts you can set for your favorite teams, though I think only MLB is currently available.

Actually, I've been using Agile today and it leaves quite a bit to be desired. When you get a notification and go into the app, it takes forever to reload. beejive is much faster. Also, for 10 bucks there should be some more customization to the look and feel. It works well enough though...

Great list you guys should have some sort of dedicated link for iPhone apps that you like and that does not include games. Or even some ongoing push apps list, the app store doesn't do a good job at offering filters to make the experience more user centric. Lists like yours help, thanks. Love Beejive, and want to give a thumbs up to iTwitter for being the first twitter app to use push (should bump them up in the rankings).

For sports, try out SportsTap. They just added push notifications a few days ago, I've been using it. Pick a team & enable alerts, then when they play you get a notification of every score & the final result.
