This is a wonderful article attempting to pull the good people are doing from all ends together in a nice package. when i first listened to Playing for Change I teared (watching Matt also moved me, but with more laughs!)
i also wanted to thank you for linking to the Social Actions Map that I created! Because of the response I’m growing this idea with the hopes of delivering a more transparent and engaging application for NGOs to have at their disposal. There are so many amazing orgs doing great things, but for one reason or another many go unnoticed. This is my current contribution to the wonderful world we live in.

(also, didn’t know about #6… going to check it out now).
*ALL* if anyone is interested in connecting to help develop, work with NGOs, or muse… please contact me.

--also...excited that social media and virtual collaborations are being used for social reform.
That "Where The Hell Is Video" is so touching. Wouldn't it be wonderful if "Making a Difference" and "dancing together" was part of our collective ethos?
@businessethos
I can become a fan of a cause on facebook, so I don't have to actually send money, or volunteer, or do something that actually makes a difference.
The real danger is turning real activists into armchair activists.
Do juices roll? I guess they flow :)

Thanks for your response

Great list. You mention:
"The conversation about corporate social responsibility (CSR) takes place across the social web on blogs, Twitter, and YouTube, but a central hub for this information and opinion is still to be determined."
18 months in, 25 of the Fortune 100 use Justmeans.com as the place to have their conversations around social responsibility. What would your definition of a central hub be?
Anyone who has a computer and internet access can now raise money for their cause without spending a dime. This takes causes to a new level - and move beyond discussion and awareness to action and impact.

Because until the world changes as the view of money and it's value change
He's gathered an incredible group of people to help 12 different charities throughout 2009, and they've raised more than $30,000 so far. No superstars, no agenda - just normal Twitter users helping make the world a better place. They've inspired me to help locally with my food bank and I think they do an amazing job.

We didn't know about the dancing project of Matt.
We started ourselves with a project about one month and a half ago.
We unite the world not with dancing, but with music:
