Great article! I think I'm actually using every single one of these tools to run my startup, FeedMagnet. I hadn't heard of Grasshopper before, but am considering upgrading from Google Voice over to them for the fax and extensions features - very cool.

As a quick plug for FeedMagnet - it is also a tool that entrepreneurs can benefit from. Similar to Monniter, it lets you pull in what people are saying about you in social media, but it lets you filter and moderate the content coming in and then display it back on your website to show off the community around your product or all the great things people are saying about you - plus, it works across more than just Twitter and can pull in videos, photos, and links from Flickr, YouTube, and other sources. No doubt the tools are common and great for use.
Now a days every one is digging into social media and i guess does the term "social media" coined up while i was in the school. :P

Anyway besides twitter,youtube, facebook and other its quite essential to analyse the metrics of social media and i use bit.ly, socialtoo, Xinureturns, Socialmention, Blogpulse, PostRank, ViralHeat and Broadtracker for social media tracking tools that can help in social analytics.

Great article but I didn't see anything about ecommerce? Take a look at http://www.bigcommerce.com - it's the MailChimp of ecommerce! We're about to launch 4 stores on it for clients. Very designer friendly.

I like face book to promote websites. There is so many autotweet and sharing programs that make it easy to digg, tweet etc with only having to connect with one site.
