Did you know: somebody actually submitted the digg homepage back in the days when they didn't sort that out yet.

Just so you know for some reason every email we've sent you recently has bounced.
To the email address on this blog? The last one I got from Mosoto was on April 21st from "preview". I also got one from Girard on April 9th - you sent any more?
The cool part is that iCal creates a birthdays calendar based on your Address Book entries birthday information. So its all seamless and take advantage of your Facebook contacts actually keeping their information up to date as opposed to you having to fiddle around with it. Only thing it is missing is a way to pull Events I am attending and sync them to iCal.

I also swear by FBMenu, which ties in very nicely with Growl for system notifications. I can be in iTunes and receive a notification if somebody has wrote on my wall, sent a message etc; or go even more granular and receive desktop notifications when a friend updates their status.
Twitter who?
CampusRank is gaining users pretty quickly. What's interesting about social networks is the first 3-6 months after launch user growth is typically flat followed by a single inflection point where the exponential growth begins. If you look at the historical trends of all major social networks the graphs all display this phenomena where the site hovers around 5,000-10,000 users until 6 months or so. I think familiarity, mindshare, and a critical mass of influential users finally deem the site "cool enough" to recommend to friends and the user growth rate takes on a very steep incline slope. In cases where user growth is controlled by the company through closed betas and invites, the flat growth rate still persists for about 3-6 months. This calm before the storm is a blessing and being used to collect feedback, bolster the infrastructure, and work on new features.
One thing that is not covered in stories about mashups and APIs is the company's behavior and support. Google for example has a stellar platform, but pretty unresponsive to the developer community. Facebook on the other hand is stunningly helpful, responsive and supportive. I suspect you will see a lot of very "awesome things" in the next few months come from the Facebook developer community. For no other reason than the connection Facebook has to college (comp. sci. students) and their very pro-developer attitudes and support.

When you're on Facebook, and have iTunes open, the app should share your selected playlist(s) on Facebook. Yeah!!

FaceDouble finds your closest Celebrity look-alike from your Facebook album photos (or friend's photos). You can also vote on other facedoubles, and see if it gets placed in the top matches of the day.
Check it out at Superlative: http://apps.facebook.com/superlative.
It's a more funny and interesting version of CampusRank. It's let you nominate people for things like "Most Likely to Appear in Playboy" or "Most Likely to Get Caught without Underwear On"
It also let's you create your own superlatives!
Woohoo! Please let us know what you think!
